Saint Crispins - Double monk with raised apron

For the weekend teaser I have sampled a double monk rendition by Saint Crispins of Vienna (Austria). This double monk is made of two hides, calf and exotic hide with a raised apron to add a bit of dash and splash and a Norwegian welt to give some robustness. The colour combination is excellent, brown (calf)and tan (exotic). A chisel toe. Perfect, well done SC from Vienna.

Saint Crispin's blue loafers for the Spring / Summer

For the day just before blue Monday, I have sampled three pairs of loafers from Saint Crispin's, Viennese bespoke shoemaker. The first two loafers are on the model 533 last and the third on the model 111, both chiseled lasts.
If I am not mistaken, Saint Crispin's will be having a trunk show next weekend in Stockholm, Sweden. A pity I can not make it for the event. I hope I can get a good feed back from those (I know) who will be to attending the event. Anyway, just before blue Monday, I present you the blue loafers as renditioned by Viennese Saint Crispin's.

Saint Crispin's - The New Uno whole cut loafer

Well gents, shoe lovers, shoe snobs and more, it has been a while I touched down on the Viennese (Austria) bespoke shoemaker Saint Crispins. For the day I have sampled a beautiful rendition of a whole cut loafer from SC. I love the texture of the leather, looks like some crusted leather. The patina and the polishing is more reserved, but still the beauty of the shoe can not be ignored. A really nice, elegant and classic rendition of a whole cut loafer from the SC team. Congratulations gents.

St Crispins creations for the day

I have sampled for the day some in my humble opinion very interesting "MTO" made to order creations from the Viennese based Saint Crispins house. The house needs no introduction as I have mentioned them previously on this blog here.

Below we have a sand suede punched oxford boot (punched cap toe) but then the same shoe has also side elastics like a Chelsea boot. Suppose the commissioner was not sure if he should opt for an Oxford laced boot or a Chelsea. So he took both worlds. I would have left out the elastic. But that is my opinion.
I sampled the below Chelsea boot for the unique orange suede colour, just to remind me that Spring and Summer will soon come. So why not put a bit of dash and splash of colouring to compliment the sunny season.
Here is a Saddle Derby boot in brown leather and mocha suede, chisel square toe, nicely done.
A Chukka boot in tan colouring with punched initials on the outside. I have seen this trend coming, meaning shoes having visible initials. Why? Not sure. Suppose a statement of some kind from the owner.  Nice boot anyway, would do away with the visible initials. It's a tad too much for my liking.

Monks by Saint Crispins of Vienna

Saint Crispins of Vienna has made some wonderful monks, singles and doubles for many a clients around the Globe. I have earlier brought your attention (here on this blog) to this relatively new comer on the block (bespoke shoemaking) who shows such dedication, passion, respect for shoemaking traditions and paying great attention to the art of bespoke shoemaking. No doubt their products are very elegant and timeless.
Here I give you a compilation of their monk renditions in various lasts, colours and hides.

Saint Crispins Shoes - Triple toned balmoral bootie

Not so long ago I blogged about St. Crispins (Vienna based shoemaker) here and about the balmoral boot model 401 here. For today I have chosen the same balmoral boot model but made for Zimmerman and Kim (Korea). This boot (model 401) has so many possibilities, here the leather selection is in shades of blue then paired with blue tweed, and topped off with a commando sole. So simple and very, very elegant. Well done Saint Crispins.

Saint Crispins shoes - Croc & Suede spectator + more

Earlier I blogged about Saint Crispins (here) a Vienna (Austria) based shoemaker. A new comer in the world of bespoke shoemaking and does a wonderful job. Beautiful designs and the end products looks stunning. For the day I picked up a MTO Adelaide and two new designs from the company.
Below a Made To Order Adelaide spectator, designed by the client and renditioned by Saint Crispins, in crocodile and natural suede. Saint Crispins did a got job here. It seems spectators are back on the scene again.
New designs by Saint Crispins (seamless whole cut oxford in purple blue). Here again we see the colour theme coming back. Very cool that more and more men dare take colour to their shoes. A right no longer reserved for the ladies. Well done gents.
Very interesting colour combination for the strapped slip-on. Beautifully done

Saint Crispins-shoes of the week

Saint Crispins based in Vienna (Austria) is the new kid on the block of "Bespoke" shoemaking in Austria.  Note that Vienna has several well respected shoemakers, for example the venerable Scheer, Materna, Maftei (also a new comer), Petkov, just to name a few.
The company was first registered in 1992. Saint Crispins do produce some very elegant, classic styled shoes for their clients. Since 1992 SC has provided shoes to an international clientele of gents.

Below you will see some very interesting colours and well made shoes. I want to own all.

Viennese Bespoke Shoemaker (Saint Crispins)

Living in the Nordic and being A Shoe AristoCat can be a challenge when looking for good, elegant & stylish shoes. Local shops tend to carry nothing.  Well, with that being said, does not mean, there are no good quality shoes. Yes, there are, Crockett & Jones (hand grades - yes), Church's (not my cup of tea), Santoni (not me) and lately I read about a gent offering G&G's.

Well, not much for me, but there more South of the cold Nordic, a Gent ventures, many doors to real good shoes open up.

Take Vienna (Austria) for example, besides the venerable Scheer Bespoke shoemaker, the city has other very good and well reputed Bespoke shoemakers, for example, Balint, Maftei (blogged about here), Materna, Petkov (blogged) & Saint Crispins. Just to mention a few. I will invite you into the world of Saint Crispin's, a name well chosen for the company. The Patriot Saint of Shoemakers.

Looking at SC shoes, one can see that special attention has been given to the details and the products are spectacular.

The usual suspects line up - love the colours
