Gaziano and Girling for the day - MTO and Deco

For the day I have sampled some very unique Gaziano & Girling (a new revamped web site) shoes sourced from Calceom a shop that provides and sells G&G shoes amongst others. The sampled are made to order shoes from G&G MTO and Deco Line. Enjoy.

A black Oxford stitched cap toe from the Deco Line, a classic worth any wardrobe.
Arran Chukka boot in suede, will look very nice for the early Summer.
A whole cut Oxford (right) and a two tier Derby in exotic leathers (crocodile and stingray) from the Deco Line
The Kent an Oxford Balmoral in two tones with a medallion, simply love the colour combination. Will do good for the Spring and Summer.
The Thorpe a Derby boot in two toned grain leather with a Dainite sole

Viennese Shoemaker - Mr. Maftei

Mr. Maftei's tale is like a fairy tale taken from H. C. Andersen's book. He moved from Romania his home country after the changes ocurring in Eastern Europe by the late eighties (1988). He was in Hungary for a short time and then moved on to Vienna (Austria).

In Vienna whilst window peeping at the most venerable Viennese Bespoke Shoemaker's windows shop, Scheer Bespoke Boot & shoemakers.
Mr. Maftei met Mr. Scheer himself, and the two gents had a brief conversation that drifted to shoemaking. From this shoe conversation, doors opened up........A tale...a fairy tale starts ......

Mr. Scheer took Mr. Maftei on trial onboard with his team of shoemakers. This was the start to a very happy ending story of a very talented bespoke shoemaker.

Tribute to Mr. Maftei, with a unique and catching story, a tale of a very passionate bespoke shoemaker told in shoes.

Today Mr. Maftei runs his own bespoke shoe operation in Vienna.

Exotic leathers (Stingray, Elephant and Ostrich) - Vienna

For most Gents, when speaking of exotic leathers for shoes, crocodile and alligator comes to mind.
Speak of Stingray, Elaphant or Ostrich hides, most Gents think one has been looking deeper into a glass of singel malt.

The Viennese (Austria) bespoke shoemaker Mr. Petkov creates very beautiful and elegant shoes with the fore named hides. No doudbt that the traditional Astro-Hungarian shoemaking fingerprints can be observed on all of the creations.

Austria, Vienna has the most venerable bespoke shoemaker Scheer, where Mr. Petkov learned the art of shoemaking.
