Putting it together like the Ambrosi's from Naples

I have often asked myself the question, how do the artisans (of clothing, shoes, ties etc) pull their sartorial look together? For the day, I went no further than looking into what the "worlds ultimate bespoke trouser maker" wear, not just wear but how do they pull the ultimate timeless, classical and very stylish impression. So to come with an answer I sampled the "Ambrosi look", father and son, how they do it.

Mr. Antonio Ambrosi (Ambrosi Sr) in a blue single breasted suiting, shirt, stripped tie and oxblood Oxfords. Note no shirting showing between the trousers and the belt. The trousers drapes perfectly well even when Mr. Ambrosi is in movement.
Mr. Salvatore Ambrosi (Ambrosi Jr) in a double breasted suit with large peaked lapels, white shirt, white pocket square and a tie, paired with an Adelaide Oxford from Master Bestetti. Further down we will look at the details.
Closer look at the details of the tailoring of the jacket. The the tie maybe a Passagio Cravatte not sure, but could be
Oh yes, blue sox and an Adelaide Oxford from Master Bestetti. Cool.

Bespoke Seersucker Suit for Summer -

How to pull a great Summer look like the gent (Dandy) Mr. Akira Sorimachi below.  The Japanese Dandy is elegantly dressed in a bespoke Seersucker two button single breasted suit, white shirting with a club collar, tie in a dark shade of blue, white linen pocket square, blue socks, co-respondent loafer in brown and white, top it all off, an umbrella. Simple, elegant and so classic an outfit. Well done Sir.

Fall Inspirations for suitings

Just for a break, I will venture in suitings for some time, as the suits are to compliment the shoes or the other way round. A true Shoe Aristo Cat will have a few pairs of suitings in the wardrobe and they will be classical, elegant and timeless items.
My inspiration comes from Apparel Arts of 1936, recommending what to wear for the fall, very educating and a few tips can be offered from this classic illustrations and photos.

All Single breasted suits are worn with waistcoats and all trousers seem to have side adjusters or the Gents are using braces. All of the men depicted are wearing some kind of head gear, be it a bowler or Homborg hat.

A Gent taking a stroll around town, Double breasted chalk stripped suit, a bowler and umbrella as accessories.
Two generations, father and son in suits, father in a three piece single breasted suit, a Homborg hat and umbrella for daddy. Looks like daddy is wearing some kind of suede shoes. Note that both have pocket squares. A very Cool daddy and son.
A single breasted two button three piece suit, with peak lapels, a Homborg hat and those classic cap toe oxfords. Lovely

A very bold Glen plaid single breasted three button notch lapel Shetland suit. Lapels rolling to top button. To compliment the suit, a pair of  Norwegian derby.

Prince Charles - Britain's best dressed man

Prince Charles has been voted Britain's  best dressed man for a number of years, how so? Look at his impeccable, classy, elegant & stylish dressing from when he was young to his mature years. He did find his own style of dressing. In his younger years the Prince of Wales was a gent of single breasted suits, later he switched to double breasted suits and I think the transformation is elegant. Hail the Prince of Wales.

Below father and son in single breasted suits, white pocket square. Both have their one hand in the jacket pocket. A trademark to be for His Royal Highness Prince of Wales.

HRH Prince of Wales hand in pocket again, I am starting to wonder what is in the pocket.

Visiting brownies, hand going for the pocket. Brown in town. Yes, can be done, when you are the Prince of Wales and visiting brownies.

The transition to double breasted suiting, paired with loafers. Perfect.
