HRH Prince Charles on the little details that makes him impeccably dressed

Today I have sampled pictures of HRH Prince Charles in different occasions, but as we all are aware of the fact that HRH Prince Charles  is always impeccably, classically and timelessly dressed. Need not mention that the bespoke suit, perfect English cut and the perfectly lengthened shirt sleeves make the main posture. But.....but.....

We have to look at the little details of accessories that makes the look complete. I have focused on the little accessories such as pocket square, boutonniere, cufflinks and those who can pull it, the signet ring. Most of us will do without the signet ring. But worth mentioning.

HRH Prince Charles in the sartorial double breasted suit, blue shirt and a regimental tie. Now comes the little details: pocket square, in paisley blue and hint of red, neatly tucked in the jacket's breast pocket, boutonniere in the lapel of the jacket. Cuff-links and a signet ring on the little finger. Please note, not one of the sleeve buttons on the jacket is open. As we all know they are functional. So it should be. Hmmmm....just wonderful, simple yet refined and classic.

  1. You know it's not much that makes one a dandy rake. Quite honestly it's not what suit you but, pants you buy, etc. it's about 2 things .. Fit and details.. HRH clothes have always fit him perfectly ( I know, they are made FOR him , but still) and the small thing matter too, proper color of the socks, cuff links, pocket square done well, posture, sleeve length.. Things like this can put you into a new stratosphere of style .. Thanks SA

  2. Hi Brad,

Thanks for the comment. You hit the nail, it is about the perfect fit and the small details in assembling the days clothing and accessories.

  4. Hi Anonymous,

Thanks for the question, not sure what to answer, I think by assistant you refer to a butler or valet. If that is the case, then I will try to respond to your question. HRH Prince Charles had a butler named Grant Harrold from 2004 until 2012, I think. Not sure if Mr. Grant Harrold has been replaced by another gentleman, probably yes, but who I do not know.

    Hope that settles the quest.

    Have a pleasant day

  5. I think by assistant anon means someone to pick out his clothing, dress him etc.. My answer to that would be .. Doesn't matter. He may, hey may not. Likely he has someone to run errands and pick out certain clothing. But it's more than likely to his taste. His preferences. He has worn clothing for too long with confidence, with flair and with little subtle details that makes the clothes his. Most people who do have an assistant look awkward in clothing, like they aren't comfortable picking clothes out. He does. He wears his clothes with conviction..

  6. Hi Brad,

Thanks for your comment and view which I appreciate. Correct that it does not matter whether he has a valet/butler or PA. True that HRH has set a mark in the way he dresses, so the query of the butler/valet or PA becomes irrelevant. I sincerely do agree with you that most people who have an assistant end up looking like a "joke" and awkward looking. We can point fingers at numerous Hollywood stars and others, which is not the case with HRH Prince Charles. Thanks for that.

    Have a pleasant day.
